Have you ever had to walk for one year without any guide and having an empty stomach? It's really hard to walk without a guide, because you would probably walk in circles. Having an empty stomach will make things even worse. Furthermore, in the novella A Long Walk To Water, a boy named Salva had to deal with this same situation and managed to survive during it. He walked for 18 months leading a group of boys to a refugee camp so they could have the resources they needed like food, showers, water etc. Salva could survive on an empty stomach and without a guide and he made it to his destination. In conclusion, Salva's culture influenced him to be a brave person and a leader. In A Long Walk to Water Salva’s culture has a big influence on his personality
