It was the first Sunday of Thanksgiving Break week and we were on the way to the beach. I was so excited because the last time I was at the beach was for Spring Break, eight months ago. All I could think about for the last twenty minutes of the car ride as we went over the bridge was seeing the beach for the first time in almost a year. I was so happy to be at the place I had been thinking about for the past week. I was feeling excited to be at the beach, happy to be with my family including my grandparents, ready to step into the sand and tan, and lucky to be able to be in this position of going to the beach. As we crossed the bridge, I looked out the window and saw the bay on both sides of the car. My sister was sitting in the seat next to me with her airpods in probably watching Tik Tok while I had my airpods in watching my favorite show Pretty Little Liars. We had a snack bag that was being passed around the car with all the snacks you could imagine: goldfish, cheese, salt and vinegar chips, etc. There weren't many other cars on the road because it was around dinner time when everyone was at the restaurants or at their house eating. As we neared the end of the bridge, we passed the restaurant The Bay and I was mesmerized by all the string lights that were hanging up on their patio. The sun was setting and the sky was a beautiful orangey-pink color which made me even more excited to be at the beach. I tried to snap some pictures of the gorgeous sunset, but my phone wasn't doing it any justice so gave up. As I enjoyed this amazing moment on the way to the beach, I realized that most of my family was already at the beach house and I experienced this with only my mom and
