This period was a time of change, a change no longer bound by the horrors of the past, and the Chilliwack High School yearbook of 1945-1946 reflected this change. The Chilliwack High School yearbooks theme of presenting the year through the changing seasons reflects how the year of 1945 marks a point of new change for the world. This year’s yearbook demonstrates how the school was no longer held back by an event. One of the first things that becomes apparent about this year is the size of the school’s staff. School staff had increased sizably from past years, demonstrating an available amount of educational budget for schools. Once again, clubs within the schools had access to transportation due to the end of rationing. With the end of rationing materials such as gasoline and tires, school teams, such as Chilliwack’s soccer team could now travel and compete against other school teams. As well as sport teams now having access to transportation, other students and clubs could travel too. Students could now participate in festival and competitions
