Thinking about our most recent discussion during class (Kean) about what age kids are more prone to try drugs and are influenced by their peers, I decided to ask Huff her opinion on the subject. She told me just recently, when she was going over a lesson on tobacco with the 6 graders, she asked the class if any one had ever experienced peer pressure to do drugs. Without delay, a 6-grader raised his hand and explained how he was peer pressured to smoke marijuana in the bathroom by a group of 8th graders cutting class earlier during the day.
