To begin, the novel Shattered has a lot of connections throughout the entire text. First, Ian is a caring, nice, and a curious person. This connects back to me because he is just like me, he is always helping out when he has the chance and really cares about other people. Second, this book relates to another book that is named, Maniac Magee. It is based on homelessness and racism just like the book Shattered, which is mainly about homelessness and caring, but also, has some racism involved in the text.
