Prejudice and judgement is a huge cause for disagreement among the people, causing unresolvable conflicts. There are a lot of different religions present in this island, but it takes a while for people to figure them out. In the end, some discover that their previous lives’ faith was different from the one they chose - and it confuses them a lot. Without the memories, everyone tries to be okay with the other people’s decisions of what they want to believe. However, everyone thinks that they’re right. Some are Buddhists, some are Christian, some Islamic, some none of the above. There is so much to keep track of, it gets really messy. Churches are funded and built, but it doesn’t stop people from questioning how fair the government really is.Of course, the atheists are there too, which does not make it any easier for anybody else, because like, …show more content…
Everyone is assigned an occupation, or they may choose it if they wish. So, if you see anything you like, feel free to request it. Wood is a precious resource some days because Ivalee started out with only a few trees. The lack of it did not stop us Ivaleeans. Tree planters go around looking for ways to plant new trees in hopes of increasing wood supply. Jobs like tree planters and lumberjacks are common with other resources, excluding the planting part. Women, men, and children all have a different level of difficulty when it comes to work. Children should focus on their studies, yet when they have time, they can assist with easy jobs such as collecting twigs and sticks from the huge pile mysteriously by the quicksand. It’s how they earn their Ivees. Women usually spend time in the house cooking, sewing, cleaning, or making something. However, some are more modern and choose to be nurses, doctors, or anything they had experience with in their previous lives. The same things apply for men. People find themselves really good at doing things and not having any other explanation than their lives before the one now. It’s kind of weird, you know, remembering how to do something, but not knowing how you know. Anyway, men still are given the harder work, or fields relating to agriculture. Any sort of task involving heavy lifting or groveling, it’s usually the men doing the work.
