Betsy couldn’t believe this, her husband and kids were trapped out in the storm with no shelter, while her and her daughters and baby were in the soddie, safe and sound. She closed the door, fearing for the worst of Sheamus and Neil and James. She was afraid, nonetheless, since him and their sons were trapped in the cold with no shelter, no nothing.
Her toddlers wobbled up to her and hugged her legs in fear as the pounding on the door came back, no, she couldn’t do this. Betsy sat on the floor with them, her baby in her arms and the toddlers by her side. She could only pray that Sheamus, Neil, and James would be okay in this blizzard.
