Heroic acts can come from anyone at any time. For example, a man could save a person from getting hit by a car, which is a heroic act by putting someone else first. Even if it means you hurt yourself. What constitutes a heroic act can be as simple as showing great courage, to saving a life. "People who engage in lifelong heroism (such as professional nurses who regularly comfort the sick and dying) do share a number of important personality traits such as empathy, nurture, and a need to live by a moral code" (Kendra Cherry, 2023)
