It is my past that creates my unique perspective, but it is my dreams of the future that truly makes me unique. I am an immigrant. My parents packed my siblings and I up and plopped us down in the middle of a foreign country, 6,000 miles away from our family, friends, and home. I was seven at the time so I went to school, made new friends, and America became my home. A history of immigration has given me perspective into how much bigger the world is. Realizing that there is more to the world than my front doorstep is what led me to create my own unique path to my future. Currently I am enlisted in the National Guard. Also, I plan to major in English, but eventually go on to medical school, with hopes of becoming a doctor. It is not exactly
