Being on a deserted island would be miserable for people that do not have the proper items. The first item one should want to have is a rifle for hunting. It’s easier to get food from hunting with a rifle, rather than crafting a spear. Another item one should want is matches for a fire. A human can not maintain a stable temperature without the fire. And lastly, the food. Without food, the one trying to survive will not make it past one and a half weeks. One needs a rifle to hunt better. With a rifle there will be little to no trouble for hunters due to the high sharpness, precise bullets being able to pierce through the hunter’s prey with much more ease rather than exerting the hunters energy by swinging or throwing a spear. The person surviving also needs his matches for a fire. On page 41 of “Lord Of The Flies”, the boys Jack and Ralph took another character named Piggy’s glasses to make a fire. With the match pack, the stranded will not need to take anyone's glasses or come up with a different method to make a fire to cook food or stay warm. All it would take is a strike on the pack and throw it on a pile of wood to make a fire. The chances of hypothermia and freezing to death are no longer an issue. The last thing the survivor needs is food. Imagine waking up in the morning after eating no dinner, that would be the feeling everyday if one were to be stranded on a deserted island without any sort of food. The rifle mentioned in the first choice, one a survivor should hope to have while stranded on a deserted island, would help with this. Without food, the survivor will die of hunger and will not make it out the first week. It can cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and dehydration. Which will affect the survivor during his or her stay on this island? It will be miserable to stay there any longer because of these three effects being felt all at the same
