The journal “STRESS AND HEALTH: Psychological, Behavioral, and Biological Determinants” by Neil Schneiderman, Gail Ironson, and Scott D. Siegel, the authors elaborate on the idea that “stressors have a major influence upon mood” (Scheiderman,Ironson,& Siegel, 2015). Indeed I agree with that statement. There are many times in which I am stressed out about school work and all the assignments I have to complete plus working full time, that I tend to lash out at my husband about any little thing to release that frustruation. I know I should not do that and I do not realize it until later when my mind is in a calmer place. Stressors may come from current situations as well as past circumstances in which the individual can not overcome. The journal mentions “Survivors of childhood sexual abuse have higher levels of both general distress and major psychological disturbances including personality disorders” (Scheiderman,Ironson,& Siegel, 2015). There are many individuals that despite that the years and decades have passed by from their negative experiences, that haunts them for the majority if not fot the rest of their lives. It is very imporntant to recognize the issues at the tiem and take action to better ourselves and improve before it is too late. I have seen in many realtionships in which one of the individuals excuse for the way they make decisions is “ I have been hurt many times, and that is why I act this way”, and it should not be that way. Every person is different in their own way and has their own story and personality. Actions like such will just push people away and you just fall in the same pattern over and
