They were everywhere. The signs that read, “MISSING BABY: Police are looking for Rose Johnson, one, who was last seen crawling outside. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.” Amber alerts, news headlines, and fliers filled the small town. Rose’s parents mourned in terror. They simply could not bear the thought of Rose disappearing. She was nowhere to be found. The dark brown eyes glared at Rose, permeating her with fear. As it was towering over her, it growled and exposed its protruding teeth. It snatched her by her onesie and bolted into a cave on all four of its legs. Rose’s fear settled and she began to laugh. This big, black animal reminded her of her dog, and she giggled every time she saw it. Little did she know, it definitely was not a dog, but a malicious bear. Six years later, her life had changed immensely. At this point, Rose had no idea who her real family was. Rose had grown up believing that the bears were her family and even believed that she was a bear. The bear that carried her into the woods when she was one, was whom she believed was her mother. Rose called the bear ‘mom,’ and never stopped to question why she looked different than the rest of her family. She trusted them. After all, they were the only family she had.

She screamed and tried to get up. Rose did not know why he was attacking her. Then, the reason suddenly hit her. The bear thought she was the one who poisoned her ‘mom.’ Rose looked all around for a way to escape the bear’s attack. She ran towards her apple tree and climbed up to the middle. Branch after branch, Rose ascended until she heard a loud crack. The branch she was using to hold her up had broken off the tree. She began to fall, and as she did, she held on to the branch that had broken off. Rose caught herself on a stump a few feet from the ground. The bear tried to snatch her from the tree, but she kept climbing. There was no way the bear could get
