Welcome to Camp Wahoo, we are very excited that you are going to be a part our camp team!
Can you believe we are getting ready for camp? I am looking forward to an exciting and fun summer with all of you. We have so much planned, great field trips and many changes to look forward too.
Please take time and read this letter thoroughly. There is a lot of information and I need everyone to comply with all the requests. If you have any questions please feel free to call at 302-453-0123 ext 2242.
The 2012 summer camp season will begin on Monday, June 11 and end on Friday, August 24. Our camp staff are expected to work all 11 weeks (yep that is only 54 days) of camp. I would like to allow for staff to take up to 3-5 unpaid days off IF the time requested is available. I understand everyone would like time off, but staff need to remember, we are only here at camp for 54 days. If you will be requesting time off, it will be your responsibility to request any time off, in writing, in advance (all request MUST be turned in at the time of signing your paperwork). You will then wait to receive approval from myself or Mark. There may be specific dates requested when time off may be not approved.
2012 camp season is also the year when we will be going through ACA Accreditation. We do not have those dates yet, but during that time frame ALL staff must be present. Approved time off may not be available during that time period. We will inform all staff of those dates when they are received.
