Research questions are as fallow.

 How has Tesco performed financially in last three years in comparison with its other competitors, like Sainsbury?  Has it maintained its market share when supermarkets in United Kingdom were facing downturn?  What are Tesco weaknesses and what kind of threats does it face?

Research Approach.
I tried to adopt a strategy which would answer effectively all my research questions while keeping the reader obsessed in the research. I also made sure that I fallow the guidelines that were mentioned in the information pack provided by ACCA and the Oxford Brookes University. To strengthen my approach for this project, I will follow these points:  Analysis of external environment (PESTEL) of Tesco plc.  Study and analysis of company’s strengths weakness, opportunity and threats.  Ratio analysis will be performed on financial statements including income statement and statement of financial position.
