2. This is an early renaissance painting by piero della Francesca. He used geometric and mathematic technique in the painting. Christ and a dove on top of his head is in the center point which make a balance of the painting. The dove also looks like a cloud. The painting drawing with linear perspective in the background. The blue sky uses the sfumato technique as well.

Michelangelo's pieta was an early renaissance of 15th century art work. He used the Neoplatonic idea to create his pieta. Michelangelo's pieta provides a triangular composition from the base to Mary's head while The Teresa of Avila in Ecstasy do not provide triangular composition. It is more likely a upside down triangle in the negative space. The sculpture provides a shape of V.
