Why are assaults in a family home setting so dangerous for law enforcement officers? Because the law enforment officer does not know what is in the home. There have been set-ups where police get called, and once they get to the secen they're ambushed. The real danger comes from not knowing what the home has in it. Say a police officers is in our kitchen, If I wanted to hurt them I could get a knife. More than likily I'd be able to get the knife out, because they do not know where anything is kept in our home.
