Ludwig van Beethoven was one of the most popular composers of the Classical era and his Violin Sonata No 9, also known as the Kreutzer Sonata, is one of the most notable sonatas of this period.
One of the very first recognizable aspects of Violin Sonata No 9 belonging to the classical music era is its use of the most common layout of movement at that period:
1. Allegro
2. A middle movement, Andante, and use of variations
3. A closing movement (finale) in Presto form
