Analysis-Once Madoff knew that other investment banks were onto him he managed to lie and get rid of their suspicion by recruiting 4000 clients. This showed that other giant investment banks were fooled too by Madoff. Not only were they fooled into believing him they also wanted to invest in him.
Madoff was a truly evil person, he knew the damage that he would cause but that did not stop him.
