The last and most influential scene in Fahrenheit 451 that is found in the Bible. Montag steals a Bible in the first part of the novel and from this introduction of the Bible, it then becomes a recurring symbol. In part two, Montag tries to cram as much of it into his mind as possible before he has to give it up. Unfortunately, he is not able to retain the information until the final scene of the novel (“Fahrenheit 451: A Christian Perspective" 1). In this last episode, Granger, Montag and the other remaining book men approach the boundary of the river and discover there are survivors left in the debris of the fallen city.
