World War II

World War II was one of the most tragic, sick wars that occurred in the world. From 1939 to 1945 the world took part in all kinds of violence. World War II was caused by three main reasons. These events were incredibly historical and if even one of these events did not occur the outcome could have been tremendously different. The Second World War was an unnecessary war, the reasons why it occurred are not good enough reasons at all. The three main reasons were the Treaty of Versailles, Adolf Hitler, and the failure of the League of Nations.

The Treaty of Versailles is a main reason the Second World War started because the outcome and affect it had on Germany caused an outbreak. The terms in the Treaty of Versailles were too harsh for the Germans; this caused Germany to go into a deep depression (enotes.com). The Treaty of Versailles weakened Germany as a whole. A rule in the Treaty of Versailles stated that Germany owed over $33,000,000 in damages from the war, this led to public resentment and eventually the introduction of a new leader to bring them up from the ashes, Adolf Hitler (Ibid). The Treaty of Versailles was unfair to Germany, forcing them to take not only blame for the First World War but putting them into great debt. Germany was forced to look for a leader to bring them out of such a depression. The Treaty of Versailles was too harsh and unreachable by Germany.

Adolf Hitler was one of the biggest causes to the Second World War. Hitler himself started rebelling against the Treaty of Versailles by growing the German army, building new tanks, subs and aircrafts. Eventually Hitler took it too far as he decided he wanted to take over the world. Hitler became chancellor of Germany and immediately tried to bring Germany up to power and out of depression because of the treaty of Versailles (studymode.com). After Hitler created prohibition forcing all men to join the army and went against many of the rules written in the Treaty of Versailles he invaded Poland in 1939 causing France and Britain to declare war (shmoop.com). Adolf Hitler broke his pledge when he was granted chancellor of Germany to leave Czechoslovakia alone. Hitler and the Nazi’s put Germany in jeopardy. If Hitler never rose to power and declared war on Poland then there would have been no war itself. Adolf Hitler is one of the main reasons a Second World War happened (Ibid)

The failure of the League of Nations was a main reason the Second World War happened. The League of Nations was powerless. It remained mostly silent in the face of major events such as Hitler’s invasion of Austria (wordpress.com). Germany was too powerful. The League of Nations was unable to deal with German claims which were a significant factor to the outbreak of the Second World War. The League of Nations went unspoken
