My paper’s focus will be on Chavez Ravine, with using the opposing theories of power elite vs interest groups. Both power elite and the interest groups theories are, theories that deal with who has the power in a community, and how that power is distributed. Chavez Ravine is a good example of this power distribution, because it is a controversial event that started in early 1950s.
