Abstract – In these days, chronic diseases are the imperative reason for death in the world. Therefore, there is a noteworthy increment in consideration being paid to individual wellness as a preventative methodology in healthcare. However, creating and building a prediction model for chronic diseases is an extraordinary change to healthcare technology on the premise of data-analysis and decision-making level. In this paper, effective mechanisms have been used for chronic disease prediction by mining the data containing historical health records. One of the prominent dimensions in health care is to design services and manage resources by understanding patient conditions. Such situations may include not only chronic conditions a patient might be suffering from, but also external factors such as mode of admission into the health care facility, length of stay in the hospital, patient age, gender, ethnicity, and so on [2].

Further foray into analytics has provided tremendous advantages that assist in designing follow-up services specifically catering to chronic illnesses, thereby reducing costs significantly and improving health care services [2].

Data mining strategies are utilized as a part of healthcare administration for, Diagnosis and Treatment, Healthcare Resource Administration, Customer Relationship Administration and Fraud and Anomaly Detection.
