For those who haven't been on many deer hunting trips, these tips and tricks will help you increase the probability that you'll see a deer on your trip. There's nothing worse than sitting for hours without sighting a deer, and it could be that you're making a fatal error.

Scent Control
Before a big hunt, make sure you're using scent control clothing. Deer can smell a human from further away than you'd think. Make sure you're showering with unscented soap and shampoo too. If you don't want to go to all that trouble for your hunt, you can purchase scent killing spray instead. It'll help when the wind isn't blowing in your favor.

Range Finder
Before the hunt, make sure you're using a range finder to make marks around the stand. You want to stay within your comfortable range when making a shot. Range marks will help you gauge distance when a deer moves into your sights. Staying within your comfortable range, and the range of your weapon, will help you land a deer.
