Danish eat a lot of heavy food, for their cold weather conditions. They usually have rye bread for all meals. They usually eat a cereal, yogurt with oatmeal and milk, or they will have white-bread with cheese or jam. For lunch they will eat something like rye-bread with liver pate, cheese, jam, sausages, or anything they can find to put on their bread. The modern game of handball was first played at the end of the 19th century in Germany and Scandinavia. In 1928 the International Amateur Handball Federation (IAHF) was set up on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, following Field Handball to their first World Championship which was played in Germany in 1938. That win lead them to an appearance at the 1936 Berlin Games. Women’s handball was introduced in 1976 in Montreal. The former Soviet Union took home two gold medals in the Olympic Women’s Competition. In Denmark soccer is known as football. There are about 300,000 professional and semi-professional players and 1,614 clubs. The first national league in Denmark started in 1912-13. The National Men’s League played in many international tournaments and best known for winning after beating Germany 2-0. The Danish women’s team also played many International tournaments. They competed in nine World Cups and eleven European
