The February 5, 2018 speaker for our public health seminar class was Linzy Cotaya, Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). She is a senior communications director for the Louisiana division of the American Heart and stroke association. She spoke to us about several opportunities including a social media campaign as well as possible internships for students.
Over to course of class she expressed interested in working with Dillard students on one of the American heart Association’s projects. The condensed summary of the project essentially seemed to be student storytelling. Student would show from their point of view how easy or how hard it is to be healthy in their area.
