Scenario 1:
Fire Max
If Lynne decides to fire Max the company might face the following problems: 1. The company might face a huge lawsuit especially since there is no physical evidence related to any violent behavior from his side or that he represents a real threat. 2. The company will lose a hard working employee whose previous job performance shows that he’s one of the best and hard working programmers in the company. 3. This action might actually lead Max to Snap! It might cause his violent side to surface since he will feel maltreated and was fired for no obvious reason. This might make him harmful and dangerous to his colleagues and the company.

She should also talk to Nicole about her behavior when she started the rumors about Max and talk to her colleagues instead of going directly to her without creating the chaotic scene she created.
Problems:
Employees and Max’s colleagues might not be convinced with Lynne’s solution, and might still consider leaving their jobs or work less hours.
Scenario 5:

But Lynne should start asking more about Max and investigate his background by going back and asking his previous employers and asking about his behavior there. Max should also be placed in private therapeutic sessions with a specialist to try to find out the base of his problems and try to resolve his communication skills to be able to interact more with others. Also, try sending Max on interpersonal and communication improvement courses.
Also, Lynne must set up a new set of policies regarding employee behavior to one another to try to eliminate gossip and rumors. It should approve those policies, announce them publicly internally and circulate them among all employees. She should also talk to Nicole about her behavior when she started the rumors about Max and talk to her colleagues instead of going directly to her without creating the chaotic scene she created.
The company should also make its employees feel more comfortable and trusting to their workplace by increasing the security level in the company itself. This will reduce or eliminate fear between employees and gain their trust
