We keep people divided when we assert they must choose one or the other and sadly most people do not want to be associated with African origin or Black, so it’s easier to say I am Puerto Rican or Dominican, as oppose to Afro-Cuban or Afro-Dominican, etc. It is all so crazy how a few people make us decide who and what we are in life.
