Approximately 1.2% of the U.S. population is affected by schizophrenia, that’s roughly 3.2 million American's that suffer from schizophrenia just in our country alone. As one can tell schizophrenia is a significant issue in our society and has caused much deliberation amongst a vast number of psychologist. This is due to the fact that this psychological disorder is extremely problematic for the patient and incredibly arduous to completely stifle. "Social functioning impairments are predictive of relapse, poor illness course, and unemployment and are relatively impervious to the antipsychotic drugs used to treat schizophrenia."
