I think Meatheads should differentiate itself on the grounds of being a fresh and locally involved burger joint. So the two main drivers of choice are: freshness of ingredients & engagement with communities.
Competition:
Epic Burger: A local chain with an strong emphasis on fresh ingredients, Epic Burger poses a big threat to Meatheads. However, Epic Burger does not capitalize on community engagement as much as it could which gives Meatheads a chance to win over that loyal consumer base first.
Edzo’s: Health and freshness are not priorities for this greasy, local burger joint. Edzo’s is a beloved Evanston locale but leaves much to be desired from a health perspective, so Meatheads can take advantage of that shortcoming.
