If the athletes are staying longer, it helps the player because he gets to prepare himself, and it helps the university because they will make that profit off of their star player and people wanting to come watch him. Athletes could get diplomas along with having the chance to play professionally. Many parents would love to see their child get a degree and improve their draft stock before they leave college and paying them would help with this (Keolanui). College athletes do not have anything holding them back from leaving college and playing professionally. If the athletes were to get paid, then they would stay in school longer and possibly get degrees (Marshall). If athletes were to be paid, they would be able to complete their education and maybe finish with a degree and be able to play a professional sport (Keolanui). Athletes could be able to finish their schooling with a diploma making their life easier after they retire from the professional sport that they
