The only thing that was supersizing to me was how detailed it actually was, both the University of Phoenix Student Code of Conduct and the Student Code of Academic Integrity. Other schools that I have attended did not go into such detail. This School absolutely covered it all! From disruptive behavior to plagiarism, as well as the actions if your caught. This really amazed me that nothing was left to question everything was covered. I stated before that I feel like the school is setting us up for success and I look forward to the journey ahead. I honestly had no question about what I read and I read it a few times to familiarize myself.
What I learned about the behaviors considered important for a student in the University of Phoenix learning community to sum it up disrespect in various forms is not tolerated. The definition of respect is to treat people the way you want to be treated. When I was on Active Duty it was a constant reminder to lower ranking soldiers that I wouldn’t ask them to do anything that I wouldn’t do or have not done. My simple way of thinking is if I have to so do you, applies in so many different ways. If I have to find the time to write my own papers do my own research so does the next student. It will be much more appreciated in the end.
