Microaggression and it affects non heteronormative individuals, especially people of color and people in lower class levels.
The term microaggression is used to describe insults and dismissals that are inflicted on a particular group of people either because of their sex, age, race, gender, or sexuality. Microaggressions is based upon any group that is marginalized in this society, ie: Anyone who is a non heteronormative, white, upper middle class, male.
Racial, class, and gender stereotypes have profound consequences in almost every sector of public life, from job interviews and housing to police stops and prison terms. Religion, disability, and social class may also reflect the manifestation of microaggressions.
One example is women, including trans women, report experiencing gender-related microaggressions. Some examples of sexist microaggressions are "addressing someone by using a sexist name, a man refusing to wash dishes because it is 'woman's work,' someone making unwanted sexual advances toward another person".
