There were many factors that led to the failure of reconstruction post Civil War. One of the reasons why the reconstruction could be interpreted as a failure is due to the fact that some of the northerners and southerners still had tension. After the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Jackson took the role as President. Andrew Jackson did not consider reconstruction for the blacks, and he did not communicate with leaders in the south. Another reason why the reconstruction did not work was because the freed slaves were not correctly integraded in the aspired society that they wanted. A series of laws called the, “Black Codes”, were passed after the civil war which legalized the mistreatment and low wage pay towards blacks. In fact, the …show more content…
As opposed to Republicans who are generally anti-globalists, Democrats favor varied traits of globalism. Globalism involves the connection of all countries as opposed to just thinking in an American perspective, or more generally, an isolated perspective. Globalism involves easier passing of borders, frequent and free trade, and foreign aid. As a relatively high amount of Hispanics in America have come to America for a better life, the share of economic growth is most likely induced by that general group of individuals. It tightened the freedom boundaries of African-Americans, and completely blocked interracial marriage. These set of laws ended up creating tension between the two parties as it degraded the entire purpose of reconstruction, and was one of the many factors that led towards the end of reconstruction.

The Klu Klux Klan was originated on December 24th, 1865 in Tennessee. The Klu Klux Klan led a series of many murders and terrorist attacks against those who opposed slavery. The Klu Klux Klan heavily affected the economic and social conditions of African-Americans in the south with the amount of violence inflicted. With these effects described, the Klu Klux Klan is officially listed as one of the main factors that caused the depression of the economy in the United States after the Civil War.

Sharecropping was an economic form of outcome that surfaced post Civil War. The Sharecropping method involved distributing profits in three routes; profits for the person who owned the land, the workers, and the equipment manager who supplied fertilizers, seeds, etc. Sharecropping brung a one-sided economy, and was heavily detrimental to the freedom of blacks as there were no other job opportunities.
