Our group research presentation was assigned with around two weeks to complete. Our group consisted of Cindy Perez, Jorge Vargas, Michael Maldonado, and Noah Smith. We were given the topic of “drug testing welfare recipients” to research and make a 12-20 slide presentation on. Each of us presenting in the group for three to five minutes, for a total presentation time of around fifteen minutes.
The first day we were given time to work on the project, we were given the task to find credible sources in order for us to create an annotated works cited. Each member of the group researched various online sources to provide reliable information for the presentation. By the end of the day we decided to make our main point on why drug testing shouldn’t be required for government welfare. Government welfare meaning welfare provided by U.S government organizations to those of the general public who cannot support themselves. During this time, we divided up the work among ourselves somewhat equally; Each of us doing around three to four slides. Everyone was assigned a key point in the argumentation.
