Preparing for war is alway important to countries because they can be ready to attack and defend. How the do this faster is industrialization. Industrialization helps make guns, planes, cars, and tanks ready for the front lines. Industrialization affected the world wars because it made weapons more advanced, new machinery and vehicles, and certain guns and new vehicles have new tactics.
One reason why industrialization affected the World wars was because the weapons continued to become more advance. The Industrial revolution was around the time of the American Civil war so I can compare the evolution of artillery between time periods. The rifles in WW1 managed to fire 15 rounds per minute compared to the civil war rifles that go up to 2-4 RPM. Industrialization invented the Gatling gun or machine gun. The Gatling gun between the Civil war and WW1 was a cannon-like structure that can pull off rapid-fire shots, the machine gun is more upgraded version and was used as a defense system for trenches. The machine gun first debuted in ww1. It took 3 soldiers to man it and fire it. Similar to the Gatling gun used in the American Civil war it can fire extremely fast and was used as a defensive gun from invaders, the only difference is that it has more ammunition than the Gatling gun. Another vehicle that has improved were planes. Since the Wright brothers invented the plane in 1903 it was used more for the flight for one man, when the world wars started mainly WW2 Planes weren’t as big compared to the Wright bros.
