All the whites told her and the black students and Melba who were going to enter Little Rock 9 that they should just go back to their all black school what they had to walk a mile to. Melba responded to all the threats calmly and kept going to reach her goal. “We stepped up the front door of Central High School and crossed the threshold into the place where angry segregationist mobs had forbidden us to go.” (Beals) She learned how to ignore the negative things and focus on the positive and good things. “I walked on the concrete path toward the same path the Arkansas National Guard had blocked us days before.” (Melba) Melba paved the way for other black students to go an all white school.
In conclusion, Melba Pattillo Beals, Feng Ru, and Jackie Robinson changed their country. Melba was one of the first black student to go an all white school .
