Abstract
A licensed dental hygienist is someone who practices under a license of that state he/she works in. A person without a license is not allowed to practice until license is obtained. To even be applicable one has to meet certain requirements. There are also different types of license a dental hygienist can receive such as a provisional license and temporary license. To obtain a license one has to graduate from an accredited dental hygiene school, pass the national board, and a state clinical board exam. Once one gets a license there are subjected to meeting requirements to keep it.
