Identifying Data
Claire is a sixteen year old Caucasian female. She is the youngest of three children. She has one sister who is eight years older than her, and one brother who is five years older than her. Both of her siblings have moved out on their own. Claire lives with her parents in Pelham, AL. She is a student at school at Pelham High School and is currently in her junior year.
Presenting Concerns and Client Treatment Goals: Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree
Claire presents with concerns regarding her academic performance, preparation for college, and high stress levels. Her primary goals are to develop plans to help her complete the requirements for high school graduation, to meet or exceed the requirements for securing college scholarships, and to learn skills for addressing and reducing her stress levels. As a result of our counseling sessions, Claire should be able to articulate specific steps she will take to achieve her stated academic and personal goals.

She seems to have a very strong connection with her mother, who teaches the advanced English courses at Pelham. Both of her parents as well as her siblings have completed their college degrees. Her father and older sister attended the University of Alabama, and Claire says that she also wants to attend UA. She is a very busy student at Pelham. She is enrolled in several advanced courses is also a captain on the school's dance team and spirit squad. Along with her school responsibilities, she is involved in many other activities including studio dance and piano. She has taken the ACT one time so far and scored a 23. She plans to take the ACT several more times before December of next
