Most of Hungary’s land is flat. The plains is approximately 56% of the countries land. The land rises into hills and some small mountains. The highest point in Hungary is located in the Matra Hills, is Mt. Kekes at 3,330 ft. (1,015m). The lowest point is 77.6 m above sea level located along the Tisza River in the south of Hungary, near Szeged. Danube is the major river in Hungary, it almost divides the country in half, its navigable with for 418 km.

The climate of Hungary can be described as the typical European continental influence climate, with warm and dry summers and fairly cold winters. January is the most coldest month with daytime temperature. In the summer daytime temperature reach 20-25 degrees celsius , sometimes heavy thunderstorms can occur by the end of the day.
