In the beginning Kenny and Frank are all buddy while Tub is left out. This is seen when Tub is forced to walk on one side of the creek by himself (Wolff 50). Also Kenny knows what is going on with Frank while Tub is left in the dark. After Kenny is shot, Tub and Frank reach a better understanding of each other, while Kenny is fading away in the bed of the Truck.
