I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled authors to write their stories, but a kind of instinct or inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean. This means that authors write stories with meaningful messages that include some moments of happiness and sadness. Furthermore, we are going to explore the stories “Flowers For Algernon”, “Ponies”, and song “I Hear America Singing” An examination of these stories “Flowers For Algernon”, “Ponies”, and song “I Hear America Singing” reveal that authors use a moment of sympathy and then a mood change to develop their message.

Third, the song “I Hear America Singing” is a song whose author Walt Whitman starts with a bouncy and flowy tone too because he gave an image of a cheerful song. Although he does this he hints nation at the end story. Walt Whitman starts off saying, “the varied carols I hear,” (Walt Whitman pg 1) and then he says, “the carpenter singing as he measures his plank or beam,”(Walt Whitman pg 1) and so on. This is important because the way he does this Walt Whitman gives us a happy and cheerful image of what is happening. This matters because this is how the author is making a meaning to the story and he starts to develop his message from here. At the end of the song , the nation was hinted leading to a thought of world wide values like it says, “ Each singing what belongs to the day-at night the party fellows, robust, friendly”(Walt Whitman pg 1). This is important because at this time there is a different mood to the story and could change your interpretation. This matters too because this is how Walt Whitman shows a meaning to the song and develops his message like this.
