“Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and they are going” (Rita Mae Brown). Language is an opportunity to learn from other individuals about their culture, their values, and beliefs. In this chapter, it states that if individuals want to build a relationship with each other, the most important effective instrument is language (NAHH, 2001). In my opinion, in order to have a great relationship between patient and health provider, language plays an important role for them.
