This act focuses on improving classroom instruction and students’ learning by placing emphasis on the individual’s educational plan (IEP). The educational plan is used to brainstorm ideas, plan curriculum, and helps to increase parent(s’) participation throughout the school year within the classroom. Parents can help to decide what would be the best approach to helping their child improve his/her academic performance level, when an educational plan is incorporated and utilized within the classroom.
It also promotes meaningful access to general curriculum. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1997 was designed with early childhood aged children in mind. Part B provided resources and services for children ages 3 to 5 with identified
