Extreme sports provides the kind of excitement and thrilling adventure that some people need to feel alive. These people feel more alive and better able to handle everyday activities by taking the types of risks that can only be found in extreme sports. Kids with autism put themselves in risky situations at an extreme sports camp to help them better handle their everyday activities (Donvan, John. “Camp for Kids with Autism Offers Extreme Therapy Colorado Getaway Features Rafting, Rock Climbing, Skiing, Rope Courses, and More.” ABCNews.com. 2009). For others, the achievement of a specific goal drives them to take risks, even life-threatening risks, to realize their dreams (Bergland, Christopher. “What Drives Extreme Athletes.” The Athlete’s Way. 2013). Still other people take life-threatening risks for the rush of adrenaline and adventure (Bergland, Christopher. “What Drives Extreme Athletes.” The Athlete’s Way. 2013). For me personally, participating in many extreme sports such as wingsuit flying would not be worth the reward since it is not something I'm interested in, so it is not worth risking my life to try it. However, I recently learned to snowboard, which can be considered an extreme or risky sport, and I really enjoyed it. If possible, I would like to continue challenging myself in this
