The claimant had stated before she filed her claim on 1/13/16 she had pre-existing illnesses associated with high blood pressure, left foot bunions, fibroids in her uterus and lower back pain which she believed was associated with the fibroids. She said that her personal physician Doctor Joseph Demattia has been treating her for these symptoms from 2007 through 2009.
In November 2014, the claimant stated she was treated for a kidney infection and was treated at Loma Linda Hospital’s Emergency Room, and noted that she started having abdominal pain that she believed may have started sometime in August 2015. However, she did not believe that her Kidney infection was job-related as with her other previously mentioned pre-existing illnesses.

The claimant was questioned if she considered of mentioning her findings of her hernia months later instead of reporting it on 1/13/2016.
Claimant Gueste stated she waited to report her hernia to her employer because she felt “it was not important to her to report it.” She said at one point; she did, in fact, report having back pain to her co-worker, Permanent Tech III, Ms. Jennifer Quan.
