Paying College Athletes?
College athlete’s are the most hardest working individuals around today. They have brutal practices, they play very intense games, and their college course’s are very difficult. The average amount of time a college athlete practice’s is forty hours, the same amount as a full time job. College athlete’s carry a tremendous weight on their shoulders. College Athlete’s should get paid for their performances because it is their full time job. College athlete’s do not make any money while doing College classes. The athlete’s practice all the time even during the offseason. The average College player practices forty hours a week, the same amount of time a of a person that has full time job. In Michigan, one of their players was found taking money from a old coach to pay for stuff he needed. Then the school had to take down the banners they got for winning the March Madness tournament that he played in. The players spend all their time on sports and school. They have thirty-eight hours of academics each week. To put on top of that they have thirty-nine to forty-four hours of practicing. They do not have anytime to do anything. They can not go and get a job like normal college students or any time doing anything else. Most College athlete’s say that they want to spend less time with their coaches. Some schools get billion’s of money each school year from people buying merchandise and watching their games. Big schools like Michigan State, Duke, those schools get billions and billions of money just from their sports programs. They get T.V. contracts for people to watch
