Lucille Ball is a female actress, model, writer, and comedian. Under the name Diane Belmont she became a model before becoming an actress in order to launch her acting career, her beauty captured the attention of big time directors and she then began her acting career. In 1950 Lucille and her husband formed Desilu Productions, which launched in October 1951 a television comedy series entitled I Love Lucy, which starred the two of them and in a comedy version of their day-to-day lives. The show was an instant hit and ran for six years. The show introduced an idea that revolutionized the film industry, the use of three cameras to film the show.
