Although, the Russian market seems to have lots of economically prone problems however, there are many opportunities for growth if MABE can develop a strategy that could be undertaken in order to tackle the issues.
Sociocultural: In order to enter into another county’s market, it is important to understand the country’s population and its market. MABE is surrounded by about 14 different countries facing similar problems of population decrease and a decline in human capital especially in Russia. This implies that there would be no customers, leading to loss of fund as a result of the decline in tax revenues. There is also a gap between the older and the newer generation in Russia making it difficult for create a social business norm and to delve deeper into foreign investors especially for private companies since the different population in Russia has different world view of the world.
Technological: The industry has lots of competitors in which all of them uses same technology and have quite similar technology level. The high-end product could be an added technological feature while the normal product may be more concentrated in quality and price. Russia is no longer known for its R&D and innovation like they used to. In the long run, the technological innovation would be a key success factor in the appliance industry.
