There's a story from the New York Times about number of elderly men who spend all day nursing coffee and French fries at a McDonald's restaurant in Flushing, Queens. They spend hours and hours there, refusing to leave. When police are called and they are told to beat it, they do. But they come back as soon as the coast is clear. The seniors, mostly Korean, take up so much room and stay for so long, the restaurant manager says they're hurting business. "Large group -- males, females -- refusing to get up and leave," read the police summary of one 911 call placed on Jan. 3 at 2:30 p.m. "The group passed a lot of sit-down time. Refusing to let other customers sit." Workers at the restaurant say they are exasperated. "It's a McDonald's," said Martha Anderson, the general manager, "not a senior center." She said she called the police after the group refused to budge and other customers asked for refunds because there was nowhere to sit. McDonald have the right to call police to remove any person from their business property because the longer the seats are taken, the less money they will make as well as the more customers will leave because of the noises of the gathered groups for so long.

senior or any kind of gathering shouldn’t be done in business places and for seniors they should go to senior centers. When a customer comes to McDonalds and buy food they need a place to sit and enjoy their food but if the seniors taking all the places and not allowing for people to sit that will drive the new customers away and that will hurt the business and they will lose money and eventually employees will lose their jobs.
