In the novel " Warriors don’t cry", we read about young black female named Melba Patillo. In this book Melba was apart of the Little Rock 9 which were the first black students to interagate Central High. For Melba, life at Central high wasn’t so good. She was hit, kicked, and even had a couple of death threats that were made to her. Through all this Melba kept her strength by listening to the advice her family had been giving to her by knowing that she had the grace and love of god, and realizing that even through, it always gets better. Even the people who were not excatly thrilled about Melba going to Central High still wanted her to still have faith like her mother Lois or her grandma India .
